Clawing My Way Through…

“Season’s End”
Taken October 8, 2007 with Canon PowerShot A550
I am immersed against my will in the nasty, swirling pit of horror that is Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. If you value your sanity, do not follow me down. Don’t worry - I brought a rope and a lunch (and a note from my mom reminding me how much better I will feel when this is all over with.).

I’m trying to learn it and learn css stuff. The last two weeks for class have been not as extremely difficult as the other ones, but still… aaaarrrrrggh. (as Snoopy would say).
Les Says: When I started learning CSS, I was amazed - it saves SO much time, I love it!
BUT - as a person much more comfortable typing raw code, as opposed to a “drag-and-drop” interface, I’ve always shied away from WYSIWYGs. With this course, I am again proven correct: Dreamweaver is the devil incarnate, if you ask me. Stuff shifts all over the place at will, and when I go into codeview to “fix” it, the program decides that since it exists to help people by writing the code behind the scenes (so that they don’t have to actually LEARN anything about coding), that I am going to break everything anyway, and so just goes ahead and breaks it for me in advance.
Aaaarrrrggh is right.

Happily, I have no idea what that is, so I won’t follow. And the tune is great.
Les Says: Just as well, Hairy. I can barely save myself, let alone anybody else…

Love that shot and the one posted below it as well.
Les Says: Thanks, Dale! And thanks for coming by - hope to see you here more often.
