“Sault Ste. Marie Cross” Standing on a hilltop near St. George Ave., it is the western hemisphere’s tallest, illuminated, self-supporting cross. The cross commemorates a similar cross erected there some 300 years earlier. From the cross’s location you can see a beautiful view of the ‘twin cities’.
