Rest in Peace, my friend
This is an incredibly sad day. I have lost a dear, dear friend, a wonderful lady that has supported me and all I do for the last 14 years.
She held my hand when my father died, and my heart when my mother followed two years later. She became an adopted grandmother to my daughter and to Ky’s best friend as well.
She was Carson’s “Gramma Dot”, and she loved us all as if we were her own.
She was there with a story, a cup of coffee, a crossword puzzle or a game of crib, through more turbulent times than I can count, and when I was at my lowest, she pulled me back up and made me want to write again.
She was my muse and my editor, combined. She lit up my world.
I don’t have a way to describe the loss I feel. There are no words to say how much she meant to me.
Goodbye, Ruby. Rest now. You will never be forgotten.
We said our last goodbye to Ringo today. I will miss him terribly, but feel incredibly lucky to have been his foster mom over this past year. He added a whole lot of happiness – even if he did hog the bed.

Likely grabbing Heaven by the balls right this minute…
Read about Frank and why he was important, here.
The Celebration of Life for Sue was held at The Water Tower Inn yesterday – I think Sue would’ve loved it. Hundreds of people laughed and cried together for a few hours; I think we all needed for this to happen.
Harry Stewart, a close friend of Aub and Sue live-streamed it all and I’ve embedded the video below for anyone interested in experiencing it. The actual ceremony starts around 20-30 minutes into the video, and it will tug at your heart strings right after you fall off your chair laughing, over and over again.
