Stained-Glass Afghan

Stain-Glass Afghan

There’s something about March that makes me want to knit. Winter? Maybe…

Anyway, this is my latest knitting project. I was going for a “stained-glass window” effect, and I don’t think I quite managed it, but I really didn’t want to deal with a complicated pattern, since I like to knit while binge-watching Netflix, so that I don’t have to feel guilty for not writing anything other than blog-posts until after the date changes at midnight.

Almost worse than “not-writing” guilt, is “not finishing that afghan I started” guilt – so I probably won’t be posting a picture of the finished product for another year. Or two.

Worse even than that guilt, is screwing up the pattern because I got sucked into whatever’s playing on Netflix, and having to spend time ripping it all out and hoping I don’t drop stitches – so this one I’m knitting in plain ol’ garter stitch, which is really difficult to screw up, even for me.

And I need another hand-knit afghan like I need another hole in the head, which of course, is just as good a reason to start one as any….
