Kaylee is under the impression (correctly so, as it turns out) that if she only waits long enough, with a woe-begone expression on her face, all snacks will make their way to her.
I could only stand to see this face for about five minutes today… so I gave her a healthier alternative and allowed her to make an intelligent choice.
She chose both.

Ian is one of Ky’s roommates… Ky is a Vegetarian. Ian may pay for this meal in more ways than one.
For the record (cuz I know y’all are wondering);
1) He ate the whole thing.
2) He didn’t throw it all up (as far as I know).
3) He slept the whole way home. Yup. The entire 5-minute drive.
Ky and I spent the day, hatless, like idiots, on the beach at Pointe des Chenes on Lake Superior.
It was a good day. Sun-Fried Brains, and all…

I stole this from “Dream Manifesto”. Cuz it’s cute.
An elementary school teacher was giving a drawing class to a group of six-year-old children. At the back of the classroom sat a little girl who normally didn’t pay much attention in school. In the drawing class she did.
For more than twenty minutes, the girl sat with her arms curled around her paper, totally absorbed in what she was doing. The teacher found this fascinating. Eventually, she asked the girl what she was drawing. Without looking up, the girl said, “I’m drawing a picture of God.” Surprised, the teacher said, “But nobody knows what God looks like.”
The girl said, “They will in a minute.”

Today was Ky’s 9th birthday and of course, the obligatory sleepover/birthday party was the celebration of all celebrations. The “Jaws” themed birthday cake and “Bite Me” cupcakes were a gift from a baker friend, to commemorate Kyla’s love of all things Great White Shark.
The “Bite Me” cupcakes were the big hit of the party – not one single cupcake remains for Momma, dammit!
There is, however, enough Great White Shark left over to get me through the next month.
